Pâte de Verre is a traditional glass‑forming technique that uses finely crushed glass to create delicate, textured pieces with rich colour and detail. Each design begins as a hand‑built mould, which is carefully filled with layers of Bullseye glass powders and frits before being kiln‑fired at controlled temperatures. The result is a unique piece with a soft, almost sculptural quality that can’t be achieved through other glass methods.
My Pâte de Verre work is inspired by the colours and textures of the Isle of Arran, from subtle coastal tones to bold Celtic forms. Every piece is individually crafted in my home workshop, making each one completely one‑of‑a‑kind.
